- The airport is divided into restricted areas. They are denoted by the colors red, red-white-striped, yellow and green. Everyone who has access to a security restricted area and works at the airport has a badge that shows which areas they are authorised to be in.
- Staff in the baggage sorting halls in the red area have red-and-white striped badges.
- It is only when you are in service that you are authorized to reside in the area required by your business. For example, you are not allowed to wave off or meet acquaintances in the airport security restricted area, or in the baggage halls inside the customs filter.
Access to authorization areas
- Access to the various areas of jurisdiction shall take place through specially guarded passages. There, all personnel, vehicles and goods deliveries are security checked before they are allowed in. The checks are carried out in the same way as for air passengers.
- There are passages within the area of authorisation that are unmanned. If you have the right authorisation, you can pass there using your badge. At some passages, you will also need to enter a security code to be able to pass.
- You are obliged to ensure that the door closes behind you. Do not let anyone coming after you through until you have ensured that the person
have the appropriate permissions. Everyone who passes by should use their badge in the card reader. - If you encounter someone without a visible/valid badge inside the restricted area, where passengers do not have access, you must immediately contact the Command Centre (LC).

- Before an application can be submitted, the employer has carried out a security check on the employee in question, who in turn has completed an approved Security and Safety training.

- The badge is valid for a maximum of 7 days and can be picked up at Arlanda Service Center. To sign for the badge, you must be able to identify yourself.
- When you receive your replacement badge, your regular badge will be blocked. The regular badge will be reactivated when the replacement badge is returned.
- The compensation badge incurs a cost that will be charged to the company/employer
- When you are not on duty, for example at home, remember to store the badge in such a way that no unauthorised person can access it. The same also applies to signed keys.

- People who temporarily visit the access area must have a so-called visitor badge. Application documents can be found here on the extranet.
- After the application has been approved, the visitor badge can be signed out at the Arlanda Service Center and at gate 1.
- Visitors with a visitor badge who are going to enter the access area must pass through security and must always be accompanied by a person with a photo badge.
- The security officer at your company can answer questions about visitor's rights.
Tools
- If you have tools in the authorisation area, you are responsible for ensuring that the objects are kept inaccessible to unauthorised persons, such as knives in restaurants or tools in workshops. These must be kept locked up or under surveillance.

areas of authority if the personnel carry objects that raise the concerns of security personnel.

Evacuation of all terminals
- Every authority or company at the airport must have a plan for evacuation of employees and the public. Your employer is also responsible for ensuring that you receive training in what to do in the event of an evacuation.
- There are two types of evacuation – controlled evacuation and emergency evacuation. A controlled evacuation is always sought, but requires at least 20 minutes' notice.
- The main task of the security staff is to show the way to exits and assembly points.
- Other staff who work among the public in the terminal must, regardless of employer, help to show the way to the designated place.
