Tactical traffic information
Up-to-date traffic information or information from a completed Tactical Traffic Forum (TTF) is published here in situations that are expected to affect the airport's capacity.
The purpose of the Tactical Traffic Forum, TTF, is to ensure that the airport and its stakeholders have the right information, tools, preparedness, action plan and decision-making organisation.
The most common TTF information concerns weather conditions that are presented based on the headings Weather, Capacity/Tracks, Preparations.

Apron AB temporarily closed for maintenance
For two days next week, apron AB (between gate areas D and E in Terminal 5) will be closed to air traffic.
Closing times
Tuesday 29 September at 09.00 – Thursday 1 October at 09.00.
The area currently has level differences between concrete and asphalt that need to be addressed before winter. At present, effective snow removal is hindered and there is a risk of FOD and damage to vehicles.
48 hours is the time needed for milling old asphalt and laying and curing new asphalt.
During the closure, the ducting for taxiway lights that is currently causing a lack of lighting in the area will also be fixed.
The work is carried out regardless of the weather.
The yellow area in the picture above is closed, areas outside it are available for remote bus traffic. The entrances ZK and ZL next to the apron are also closed.
Allocation
A simulation of the allocation shows that we will periodically have a crowded situation and a large proportion of remote parking will be required. It is difficult to predict exactly how large a proportion as the airlines' plans are not known in advance – here there is a dialogue between Swedavia and the airlines.
Prioritization of allocation at gate or remote will follow the current allocation policy.
- Non-Schengen traffic will be prioritized at the gate as the handling is deemed to be too complicated to carry out remotely.
- All code E-traffic will be gate allocated.
- Charter flights will be handled on remote stands.

- Buses – functioning vehicle fleet and increased staffing
- PRM – functioning vehicle fleet and increased staffing
- Terminal – increased staffing, on-site technical emergency services
- Continued dialogue on preparations between Swedavia and ground handling companies.

LFV urge airlines to be restrictive about starting early from their destinations – it will only lead to longer waiting times on arrival at Arlanda.
