CAM - Change Approval Meeting
Why do we have CAM meetings?
Purpose
Create a generic working method between the work declarant and the airport for a uniform structure for planning, preparation and approval of work within Swedavia IA.
CAM is part of identifying and managing risks and possible disruptions to operational activities. The CAM structure provides guidance on taking the right contact channels for future work and enables the job notifier to identify required documentation.
Scope
Works/events to be carried out at the airport:
- may have an impact on Security, Safety, the environment and/or the work environment
- may have an impact on our main processes (Passenger and Flight Operations process)
must be planned, prepared and approved by CAM before implementation. This is in order to minimize risks and disruptions to ordinary operational activities and for our customers.
The term "work/events" in this case includes, among other things:
- Temporary/permanent changes carried out at the airport or in the airport's area of interest, for example in connection with excavation work, demolition, renovation and extension of buildings and ground facilities
- Interventions on the airport's infrastructure, for example during excavation work, demolition, reconstruction and extension of buildings and ground facilities
- Work/events that limit or may limit accessibility on Airside (incl. DMA) and/or Landside
- Work/events that may entail restrictions in airspace, for example during blasting or work with a crane
- Work that can – directly or indirectly – affect flight operational systems, electricity supply, hydrant (aviation fuel), water and sewage, telecom, etc.
- Work that affects flows in the terminal or the airport's functions in general.
CAM takes care of work to be carried out at Swedavia International Airports, which at Arlanda is held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 13:00-14:30 via Teams. At the meeting, representatives from the business gather to go through notified work in the airport area.
