Evacuation
Stockholm Arlanda Airport is subject to building regulations that regulate how buildings must be designed so that they can be safely evacuated in the event of fire or other danger.
The responsibility of each employer

- staff have sufficient knowledge of the content of this AR
- The staff's training and exercises are documented.
In connection with the start of the employment, new employees must receive special information regarding evacuation from the workplace.
Training and practice
- Training and exercises for evacuation of one's own workplace shall, through the agency of each employer, be carried out annually to such an extent that evacuation can be carried out with certainty in the event of an emergency.
- Exercise may be replaced by information about evacuation, if it can be considered to provide equivalent knowledge.
What applies to practical evacuation exercises?
Employers who intend to carry out a practical evacuation exercise with employees must consult with the following two parties before the exercise is carried out:
- Swedavia Airport Operation Center (APOC) tel. 010-109 13 00
- Airport Rescue Officer (ARO), tel. 010-109 14 50
A major evacuation exercise with the public is planned and carried out solely under the leadership of Swedavia.
What do you do as an employee in the event of an evacuation?
Evacuation takes place when there is an acute danger to human life.
You are always obliged to help others in case of evacuation!
