Airport Care Team
At the airport, there has been a lack of practical and emotional support on some occasions based on compassionate treatment.
The airport has put together a group consisting of VIP-trained staff at Passenger Service with knowledge of meeting people in crisis. We call the group ACT – Airport Care Team.
It is about being available, listening and reassuring passengers or staff in difficult situations. For example, ACT allows for separate flows, separate rooms or practical help.
Purpose
- Meet people in shock. Be helpful with practical questions and emotional support.
- In connection with an event in another location, be able to meet people who arrive.
- In connection with a decision to be given in some way.
- Deaths at the airport.
Demarcation
- Everything is based on voluntariness.
- There is no guarantee that the group is staffed.
- Thus cannot be included in each company's emergency plans.
- The handling companies are responsible for passengers on board.
Implemented
The need is requested to OPC, which coordinates resources for ACT.
