Feel free to contact us at Swedavia Energi to get more information about the services provided at Swedavia's airports.
Swedavia offers charging facilities for electric cars and plug-in hybrids at all airports. You will find charging stations in specially marked parking lots, subject to availability. The charging infrastructure is provided in collaboration with Virta and enables smooth charging via app, charging tag or one-time payment.
To recharge, you can either download the provider's app and there you can make one-time payments or you can create an account with the provider where you enter a credit card and then the month's recharges are collected and deducted from your account once a month. Alternatively, you can visit a website where you enter your credit card number to start charging. Prices for recharging are visible in the app.
Electric car charging at airside Göteborg Landvetter
It is possible to charge electric cars on airside with a payment solution.
The new chargers have type 2 connectivity and offer charging with up to 11 kW of power (three-phase). They differ from the landside chargers that only charge with single-phase and a maximum of 3.7 kW.
Swedavia has a procured partner to handle charging and payment, Virta. With the help of Virta, charging can be started easily via an app, charging tag or card payment.
To get started, your business needs to get an account on Virta and do the following:
(does not apply to Menzies, Aviator and Swedavia, which start charging with separately distributed tags)
(does not apply to Menzies, Aviator and Swedavia, which start charging with separately distributed tags)

- Select Sweden as the country.
- Agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy.
- Enter your personal information.
- Order a charging tag if you wish.
- Please note that it is not possible to receive a monthly consolidated invoice from Virta, but instead it will be the card invoice that becomes the monthly invoice.
- Once the registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Start charging via the app or by tapping the charging tag on the Rfid reader directly on the charger.
Information about prices, charging conditions, and availability can be found directly in the Virta app.
Start loading at TeS and CVA if you don't have a tag:
- Open the Virta app
- Search for "TeS Parking" or "CVA". Then save these as favorites for next time.
Please note that you cannot see the chargers on the map in the app as they are hidden so that private individuals do not search for them on the airside. - Then select the correct charging socket/Virta number in the app.
- Swipe right at the bottom of the screen to start charging.
- The charging session ends when the charging cable is unplugged from the car.
Tip!
It is possible to either order a tag from Virta in the app or add your own tag with a known Rfid number that you can then use to start charging. If you have an Rfid reader, it is also possible to add the badge as a tag. Note! The Rfid number is NOT the same as the badge number, but the Rfid number needs to be read with an external reader.
