What is happening or what needs to be done?
Swedavia (Bromma) has on two occasions raised the issue of clarifying the purpose of the AR requirement regarding the placement of cones around an aircraft.
Current text regulation says wingtips and behind aircraft. The text has been produced with a focus area for regular traffic at marked parking areas (stands).
The text fails to include apron without dedicated stands, and to clarify the purpose of the cones, Bromma will introduce the following text regulation.
Cones shall be placed on surfaces around an aircraft where other activities may occur. I.e. cones shall be placed in front of and behind an aircraft and at the wingtips to clarify the "protection area" of the aircraft. Cones do not need to be placed on surfaces where there is no air or vehicle traffic or other activities that risk damaging the aircraft.
See pictures for examples where cones need to be placed below.
Consequences? Who is particularly affected?
the ground handling companies when parking aircraft on apron surfaces.
Which area of the airport is affected?
All apron
