What is happening or what needs to be done?
On Thursday October 15, 2026, Göteborg Landvetter Airport will conduct a full-scale crisis simulation exercise. The exercise is called GOT26. The exercise will take place at approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The objective of the exercise is for the airport and external partners to test management and cooperation in the event of a serious incident. The exercise will be conducted in accordance with applicable Security and Safety requirements, as normal airport operations will continue in parallel. The exercise is not expected to affect normal airport operations, but activity related to the exercise may be noticeable on airside, landside, and within the terminal.
Participating organisations are: Swedavia, the Greater Gothenburg Fire and Rescue Service, the Police, Region Västra Götaland, Härryda Municipality, SOS Alarm, LFV, JRCC and Menzies together with Aviator.
The exercise is only open to exercise participants and invited observers.
NOTE! All exercise communication is preceded by the phrase "Övning, övning, övning" and should NOT lead to any actions in reality.
Consequences? Who is particularly affected?
Normal airport operations will continue throughout the exercise. The exercise will not affect passengers or air traffic, but it may be visible both on and around the airport.
Please consider your route to and from work!
To facilitate access for emergency vehicles traveling via Rågdalsvägen to the exercise incident site, all employees and airport partners are encouraged, if possible, to use an alternative route to and from work on Thursday.
Which area of the airport is affected?
Airport Academy and A6 (Terminal Non Schengen) as well as parts of P6, P13 and roads within the airport area.
