What is happening or what needs to be done?
Service window for technical maintenance Chroma.
The service window is scheduled to be held on 2026-05-19 at 00:01 CEST – 2026-05-19 at 04:00 CEST.
Consequences? Who is particularly affected?
During the outage, the user interfaces of Chroma AODB, Chroma FIDS and Chroma RMS will not be available.
- Chroma AODB: Everyone will be logged out of Chroma AODB and access to current flight information for operating units will be lost during the outage.
- Chroma FIDS: Public monitors will be turned off or will not show updated flight information, which affects directions and information for passengers. Operational units using FIDS will also not have access to up-to-date flight information.
- Chroma RMS: Access to the stand, gate and check-in planning tool for operating units is missing during the outage.
The exchange of flight information to/from Chroma is stopped, which applies both externally and internally. For all integrations, messages are buffered up and processed after start-up.
External exchange of information:
- SITA/DataConnect API: Early timestamps on calculated/current flight movements. Load figures. Assistance needs.
- AFTN: Flight Plans - Timestamps from Eurocontrol on scheduled arrivals. Timestamps to Eurocontrol on scheduled departures.
- ESTRIP: Near-term flight movements from ATC. Estates planned for ESTRIP.
- DST: To the extent that DST is started, the calculation of TSAT will be based on an unupdated calculation basis.
- CDM: DPIs to Eurocontrol will not be sent.
- SCORE: New and deleted timetable entries are not loaded into Chroma.
Internal exchange of information:
- PGS: Passenger flow control for arriving flights. Not getting up-to-date flight information causes problems when changing stand and gate.
- APIS and SAM: Aircraft docking. VDGS does not receive information for guidance of docking aircraft. On- and off-block times cannot be sent to Chroma and affect BHS.
- BCS: Bus coordination does not receive up-to-date flight information and the need for bussing from/to remote stands.
- BHS: Without on-block time, arriving baggage cannot be planned efficiently. Failure to inform passengers about baggage carousels.
- FHS: Refueling. Not receiving up-to-date flight information with problems when planning refueling.
- API: Interface for dissemination of flight information internally and externally. Public web and app, operational app and external subscribers do not receive up-to-date flight information. WebFIDS, BKS and PRM planner are also affected.
All airports are affected, slightly differently depending on which system support is used.
The actual outage is estimated to last up to approximately 2 hours starting at 00:01 CET on May 19.
Which area of the airport is affected?
For all airports, access to operational system support and display of public flight information.
