Airside | Traffic: Gate areas to change names

2023-10-03 -

During the autumn, additional steps will be taken in the work to change the names of the gate areas in Terminal 5. The piers will become Gate Areas and the gates will have both a letter and a number; Gate area C, D, E , F in combination with the current gate numbers.

The aim is to make it easier, clearer and more logical to navigate the terminal system. The airport's passengers and employees will have targets points that make it easier to find their way and give directions to others.

New names in Terminal 5

  • Gates C30-C44  (the old Terminal 4, names already changed)
  • Gates D11-D24 (Gates 11–24 in the pier, which further back in time was called Pier B)
  • Gates E1-E10 (Gates 1–10 in the pier, which further back in time was officially called Pier A)
  • Gates F26-F69 (existing name)
  • We are now dropping the designation “Pier" and instead will say Gate Areas C, D, E and F.
